Virginia Knight graduated from Monash University with honors in 1998. Virginia’s internship then Physician training was completed at Monash Medical Centre. She went on to complete her Gastroenterology training at Monash Medical Centre and was Chief Resident for the hospital in 2005. She was awarded her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2006. Virginia has continued at Monash Medical Centre and Southern Health as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. She is also completing her PhD through Monash University and is involved in Clinical Trials in liver disease at Southern Health.

Virginia works in private practice at Caulfield Endoscopy and in Clayton and has endoscopy lists and admitting rights at Cabrini Hospital Malvern and Jessie McPherson Private Hospital Clayton. Dr Knight’s clinical expertise includes the management of patients with liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and performing upper and lower Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy) and fibroscans.
